WHAT YOU'LL SEE
The Path of Wool and Silk (Via della Lana e della Seta) is a newfound trekking route connecting the cities of Bologna and Prato through a kaleidoscope of incredibly wild landscapes, rich in medieval architecture and industrial archeology linked to the textile manufacturing.
In fact, this itinerary connects the hydraulic plants of the Chiusa di Casalecchio (Sluice of Casalecchio) in Bologna with the ones of the Cavalciotto in Prato, connecting these two important cities.
Water was once essential to power the machinery of the textile industry of Prato and of the silk production of which Bologna was once capital.
A trekking route that allows you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, filled with excellencies and tradition, and discover the history and culture hidden in this territory.
In this proposal we suggest to skip the part between Casalecchio and Sasso Marconi, dividing more equally the subsequent stages and stopping in smaller villages.

Arrival in Bologna, where a member of our team will personally meet you for a short briefing on the logistics of your Trekking and arrange the luggage transport.
Urban trekking towards Casalecchio di Reno following the old canals, train to Sasso Marconi and departure for Monte Sole

Monte Sole - Burzanella
Day 3 - km 18
Burzanella - Rasora
Day 4 - km 20
Rasora- Montecuccoli
Day 5 - km 20
Montecuccoli - Fabio
Day 6 - km 22
Fabio - Prato

A deposit of about the 30% of the total amount of the package is required upon confirmation of your booking. In case your booking is requested within the 30 days prior to departure we will request the whole balance.
